Button quail question

Hello guys
I had some button quail chickd hatch yesterday. One had to be helped out, it's been over 12 hours and he still has a wet look. His feathers arnt fluffy and his skin visible like a newly hatched chick. What could be the reason?

his toes seem to be bent a little inwards too. hope he will be ok

first the obvious question, is he in a brooder? how long was he trying to hatch before you "helped"? is he even trying to get to water and food?
To be honest you could have made things worse by "helping" him. Give him some time.

He was stuck for about 24 hours and he unfortunately died in the brooder, and another chick that looked exactly like him died too. I think it was a genetic issue
