Most my button quail hatched around 630am and one decided to externally pip around 1030am.. how long can I wait to take the chicks to the brooder without affecting the one that has pipped?
Sorry no one has answered yet! You can wait a good long while before moving them to the brooder. I generally watch and wait for them to mostly dry off and get a little rest before moving under the heat lamp. How are they doing?
My first ones hatched from 9 to 12 days ago now. I left the first to hatch in there about a day and a half. When it looked like the last 3 that hadn't hatched had no pips and the last to hatch were dried, I pulled out the 7 that were out.
