I have this white female button quail that is buisy brooding on some eggs! Whenever she leaves the nest her sister takes over! I watched her very closely today and noticed that her middle toe (the longest toe) on her left foot was at a 90 degree angle from the middle! It shocked me a little because it looks weird! She runs and walks perfectly fine but it just looks horrible! Ther is no blood or infection or inflamation of any kind! What should I do? I was thinking about catching her and try to bend it but I odn't think that's a good idea! Could it just be dislocated? I don't have a pic because she is too fast for my phone!

As long as she is not limping or anything i would just leave her be. I am afraid if you try to catch her to examine the toe she will give up the nest. So if she is walking alright I would just leave her alone.

Alright. I'll keep a close eye on her to see if it gets infected or if she starts limping! Thanks :)
