Hi, I had about 45 buttons hatch a few days ago. I have them in a big set up food, water, all they need. Since the hatch I have lost 3 babies. They all seemed fine walking around eating, drinking climbing through the paper tubes etc. When I went to check on them one was dead. A few hours later one was acting odd and breathing fast then he died. Now another one. They do pile up on each other to sleep. I am thinking maybe I have to many together. Should I separate into smaller groups? I do have a heat lamp but their is plenty of room to move away if hot. The temp under the bulb is almost 99 degrees. They do not feel cold and appear healthy and active and then all of a sudden one goes down.
