Hey guys I live in the Los Angeles area and am looking to buy a coop. I have 3 hens and will be adding at most 2 more (I wish I could add more). I'm looking to spend $100... Is this doable??? And do you know where I could find a place that sells coops????

I'm afraid you really should build a living space for them or have it built. Chickens tolerate cold much better than heat. In your climate, they will need ample shade and breeze. An open design is best. "Walls" of hardware cloth, with rain and wind protection, are their needs. Here is a thread that shows some setups that work well in warm climates.

Good luck!
