I have 5 2 1/2 week old chicks and I have been looking all over for a suitable coop for them when they get older. The coop would have to have a run because I can not free range my chicks due to large amounts of predators. I would love it if it was something that was easy to move around. Also I would prefer that it was something easy to put together I am HORRIBLE at building. Sorry I know that this is a lot to ask but i am thankful for any suggestions. THANKS!!!!!!!!!

Prefab coops aren't usually well made (and very expensive). The best thing would to make one or get a local carpenter who is willing to make it.
Personally I couldn't make one so I got the Omlet Eglu Cube coop with run. It was expensive but my 6 chickens love it and it is very easy to move around as well as being safe from predators.

You should look up on Craigslist, might find a good deal on a coop...... OR you can advertise someone to build you a nice one with everything you need and will probably end up costing you less than buying a prefab one.

My main problem is that I live in a small town that is nearly 200 miles from the next big city so it is a little difficult to find people. I agree that it would be ideal but I am not I could make it happen.

Do you have a classifieds paper you can look through? You may be able to find a used coop for sale, or look for someone selling other woodwork (chairs, tables, etc.) to see if they could make one for you. Small towns are really good for finding handy people!!!
