Is it common to purchase pullets from Tractor Supply and they turn out to be cockerels? I bought 8 chicks, all supposedly pullets. Purposely didn’t buy any straight runs. Two died. It happens. But now from help on hear, it seems that I have at least 2 cockerels from that batch. Is this to be expected?

From TSC seems to be pretty common this year.
Did you get the right breeds? That's something else thats common with them.
I’m not sure. I bought 3 Silver Laced Wyandotte, 2 black Australorps, and 3 light Brahmas. All pullets. One Wyandotte and one Australorp died in the first two days. I can tell which are the Light Brahmas and they are definitely the correct breed. But 1 may be cockerel. Then I think one black Australorp may be a cockerel. Not sure if I have these identified in any way correctly. This is what I think it should be based on numbers. And what I think I bought.

First 2 are your Australorps and I think both are cockerels.
3rd is SLW and no comment on sex of that one.

Yes! This is common.
Tractor Supply can also get the breeds mixed up and mixed together.
The TS closest to us had Australorps and Wyandottes in with the Olive Eggers. The bin sign was just listed as Olive Eggers.

First two are cockerels.
SLW chicks normally have rose combs. Every blue moon there could be a straight combed chick, but the standard is rose comb.
The last pic is a SLW. How old?
