I came here in the hopes of finding a better selection of fertile eggs that I could purchase locally. There does not seem to be a way to narrow the search parameters based on location. Am I missing something?

Hi welcome to the forum.

You could try a could things:

Use the advanced search options at the top (under the brown tabs). You can search hatching egg section and then put in the state of interest in as a search term.

Or you could go to your state's thread and post there for ideas from locals. Find the thread from this link:

Thanks for replying. Using the advanced search option kicks me out of the "for sale"section and into what appears to be some sort of thread. Searching in the "my state" thread, narrows the hits from several thousand to just under a thousand. In sampling a few of the hits I found that they do not have anything to do with what I searched for.

Advertisers "bump" their ads in 3, 7, or 14 days, according to the type of membership they have. Therefore, only the listings on the first page or first few pages are likely to be active.

Thanks again. I still don't want to look at every recent add on hatching eggs when I only want certain breeds. I would also prefer to buy locally. I don't see a way to narrow the search parameters in any way.

Post in your state's social thread that you're looking for eggs. Someone there might know where you can get what you're looking for.

I had this same problem and started a 'CO hatching eggs' thread to help people here in CO find local eggs and it has had great feedback. This is definitely an area to look in to! I asked in the CO thread and was told BYC frowns on buying and selling outside of the BST area.
The problem now is that I can't post any ads in the other sections since I am only allowed one classified at a time. Can a moderator take over (or restart) the CO hatching thread so I can post my one classified for real?
