C-Section Chick

Don't call the Fire Department just yet. I had one egg pip and a piece of shell comes off but the white lining is still intact. I wait 24 hours and this chick is screaming inside the shell. I decided to go in. I increased the pip hole and saw the beak, still chirping like crazy. So I chipped a bit further and further.......I'm sure you know how this goes. When enough shell was removed the chick was struggling in the membrane all wrapped up and couldn't get out. I cleared some of the membrane off and she popped out with no problems. I'm watching her close.

Humidity for the first 18 days ran about 40% to 45%. I raised the humidity to 65% for the hatch.

The chick is out and about now. Stumbling all over the place and chirping like crazy.
