Cabinet incubator turner problem

My turner quit working on automatic in my cabinet incubator. I have replaced the timer motor . It does turn now but it completely goes to the left and back to the right rather than slowly going to one side then the other. I have set it back to level and then to automatic to sync it but that did not resolve the problem. Any ideas?
