Hello Everyone -
I am very new to this posting/forum stuff so please hang in there with me
A bit of history:
We had our first introduction to raising chickens last spring - 12 Barred Rocks, beautiful girls, still all with us, still laying wonderful eggs, all free-ranging even during this very long winter!! A wonderful breed of chicken to begin our chicken raising journey with!!!
We have recently acquired 5 Black Jersey Giants, 5 Aracuna, 6 Buff Orpingtons and 2 Rouen Ducklings (kind of feels like the 12 Days of Christmas song...
).
We have been using BackYardChickens as a great resource but figured it was about time to join and be able to interact with y'all so we are now real members to the site/forum/?
Our family consists of Mom, Dad, four kiddos, one dog, 2 cats, The Chix, The Peeps, The Ducklings - you have heard of the kitchen sink, well we are the cabin sink - building our own home, having quite a time!
We like to garden and sharing the heat and light with the peeps and ducklings is a great way to do double duty - start babies and start seedlings. Win-Win situation.
Looking forward to posting and sharing with y'all!
Warmly Yours,
Cabinsink
