For the past month, about once per week, I've been finding a calcium coated egg in the run. The only place I ever find these calcium coated eggs is in the run, the eggs being laid in the coop are normal brown eggs. I have 6 girls. I found online that a calcium coated egg is the sign of a hen holding in her egg too long due to stress. The article didn't say much else, except that usually this is normal. Any other thoughts or experiences? I'm wondering if it is the same girl doing this over and over and concerned she might be in pain. Thanks in advance!!!

She could be stressed and/or being kept from the nest by more dominant birds.
I have a pullet doing this now.
If she's acting fine otherwise, eating, drinking, pooping, active....it could just be a glitch.

Describe your flock and coop/run..someone might see a clue.
