So my chickens just started laying in Febuary. They are 7 months old.. At first they were laying like champs. I couldn't give enough eggs away. A while back I posted on another thread about a white film and pimples on my eggs. I was told it's fairly normal for new layers. Haven't got an egg from my Maran for days and I was getting worried. Also my swedish flower has consistantly laying eggs with the white film and pimples. Today I found my marans egg. Covered in the white film. Also, it was on the floor area of the coop. Right next to it, an egg with no shell.. Does anyone have any clue what can cause this. Lack of phosphorus?? Stress. I am at a loss my egg production is really suffering and my elderly neighbor is talking about buying store eggs...
