I just had a staggered hatch in my Brinsea Ovation 56 EX. (The local pickup of eggs did good and shipped eggs weren't more improved like I was hoping I'd achieve with this incubator.)

I found the temperature is off by a few degrees! I use two separate thermometers to confirm my suspicion.

Is there a way to recalibrate the thermometer and hydrometer?

Contact brinsea and let them know. The ovation should be on warranty for two years at least. You would ship it to them and they would calibrate it for you.

I have an octagon that is three years old. I am supposed to ship it to them for this service to make sure it is working correctly. It is working fine though so I am not sending it off.

I bought TWO more humidity readers, which also have temp readers.

So in addition to the installed control temp & humidity readers, i now have two thermometers plus the two new humidity&thermometer readers.

The incubator temp does not fluctuate but is off by several degrees. I think it is a flaw in design. The temp at top where the gauge is installed reads accurate; however, the area by the eggs is cooler. It would make more sense to have temp gauge down at egg level...

I do recognize I have way too many temp gauges ... if you include the one installed I now have FIVE.
Yes, five.

OCD at its finest ...
