I have four call duck eggs in the incubator on day 23. Do I stop turning today or tomorrow? Supposed to hatch on day 26. Do they do better laying down or upright????

Is anybody out there??? I went with what I could find online about locking down on day 23. I have already incubated them upright and turned them with an automatic turner, which I've read is wrong. I put them on their sides and am hoping for the best. I'm already getting some wiggles out of the eggs. I left the temperature at 99.5, because that is what I've done in the past with duck eggs and it seems to work and I set the humidity up to 65%. I am hoping the little fellows can get out. Come on little call ducks - do your stuff.

I have heard that they do not do well with the automatic turners and mine did better when I put them under Silkies. I have one in the incubator now that is developing fine but I think the trouble is with hatching mainly. I have two Silkies sitting right now so I may be putting the egg under them with some other eggs due at the same time and then move their eggs into the incubator. I was able to get some Calls to hatch in my LG incubators so I know it is posssible, it is just harder to get a good hatch.
