call ducks, inexperience with ducks, question

Are call ducks good flyers? Will they fly off.
There is a local animal shelter here that rescued three from horrible conditions and I am thinking about adopting them to add to my two pekin mixes.
They will not be housed together.

I adopted two muscoveys from the same shelter about 5 years ago and they stayed around the place for a year, roosted in the chicken coop then one Sunday they took off, the last I seen of them was their rear ends going over the top of my house (lieterally), never did know where they went.

Where in Missouri are you? If you don't adopt them, I might if the adoption center is close to me. I'm also in Missouri. I have four call ducks now.

Calls can fly.. Mine will fly around when I let them out But they have always come back in for food!!
