Call Ducks Info

I was wondering what people used to deworm their call ducks? I have heard people using ivermectin but I can only find the one for cows. Would the earth stuff be okay? I have a call duck coughing and would like to deworm him just in case, but this is my first year with calls and I want to make sure that because of there size What other people use. thanks

I know a lot of people use a Goat Wormer for their chickens.I'm not sure if it would be okay for calls as well. What other symptoms is he showing?

No other symptoms. Just the cough. I have been trying to get ahold of the person I bought them from to see when the last time they were wormed before I do deworm him. I dont want to do it to soon again. If hes been dewormed he should be fine and the cough would be due to something else. Thanks for responding

Is it a dry cough or more of a wet one? Also be careful when dealing with your other birds that you may sure to wash your hands and change clothes to prevent spreading any illnesses to them as well

Went on the call duck association website and that is wherenthe idea came from. It is a dry cough. and these ducks are in breeder pens by themselves until I can find females. I have had them about 6 weeks or so.

First of all, do you have a deep drinking bowl to where they can clean out their bill? They need to be able to clean it out whenever they need to or something could get stuck in there and cause an infection.

I was at tractor supply today and asked what people used, after I read your post, they showed me something called "Wazine" for turkeys and chickens

They have aregular waterer and a pool. I finally got ahold of the guy I bought them from and said he used Wazine also. Thanks
