Okay, you can all laugh at me!

I was out in the yard stomping down mole tunnels this morning when three hawks did a fly over. They landed in a tree in the yard next to mine, picking a spot that provides one of the few views to my coop and run. I hurried over to the run and could see one hawk eyeballing the chickens and checking out the access! Realizing I was directly in its line of sight, I raised up my hands like claws, bared my teeth and growled at the hawk: Grrrr...

So, yes, you can all laugh at the image that must have made of the crazy lady, but the hawk must've also thought I was too crazy to bother my chickens because it took one look and immediately flew off, leading the other two away!

Perhaps I can make life sized posters and market them as them as hawk deterents! ("Grrrr" sountrack sold separately.)

Don't worry about it, I'm not gonna call you crazy, you should see some of the stuff that happens around here! Plus that's what your supposed to do with mountain lions and make yourself look big, but I think that it should work just as well with anything threatening your chickens!
