To all guinea owners
Advice solicited on keet raising anyone
I ordered ten, split them with a neighbor and kept six (space issues)
4 died right away, same and next day.
But two are splendidly growing.
Here's my questions;
Baby chicks actually tame down really well around my house, lol, climbing on me like parrots, spoilt rotten.
Except these two lil sweeties.
I only walk by the brooder and they react like I'm a rabid snapping wolf!
Changing bedding and feed and water, a 4x daily job, same reaction!
Never get used to me.
Now that they are a bit older, almost 2 weeks, this hasn't changed.
I've started handling them regularly to offset this, hopefully
They HATE it
they fight the entire time so bad I'm extra careful so they don't injure themselves!
Is this normal or are mine Brain damaged?
Will they ever calm down?
I do most of my own vet work so keeping my girls hand tame is critical.
And all 32 other chickens ARE so calm - Including my flock daddy.
But these babies, I'm worried they won't calm down.
