Calling all Newfie owners!

I need a newfoundland, and im currently searching for a good breeder one who does all the right health screenings. I need your help, tell me where you got your dogs and the experience you had. Also how your dog is.... other than amazing and feel free to include pictures. I live in ID. Anything helps cause im affraid of buying a dog from a puppy mill.

I know this page is for German Shepherd breeders but the tips go for any dog really.

http://gsdrcolorado.com/good_breeder.html Just don't be in a rush and take your time. My last breeder took me 2 years to find and another 2 years waiting for the breeding that I wanted.

http://www.ncanewfs.org/ is a great place to start as well. You can also try to visit some events and see the dogs in action. Talk to people who own dogs you like and find out where they got them.

Thanks, I've actually been looking for a good Newfoundland breeder, that Isn't forever away, for about 3 years or so. I had one almost all lined up but they moved and I lost contact. I did email another one last month and never heard back...

I've actually done lots of research and I'm under the impression that the last breeder didn't email me back because I asked questions about her health screenings.... guessing it was none....

If anyone else has a Newfie out there please share where you got them
