Calling all rabbit breeders/owners! Treating the Snuffles at home?

Hi friends!

i think i have a Snuffles outbreak in one of my bunny litters. They are about six weeks old. Yesterday I noticed one had a runny nose and was acting a little more tired. Today, she is sneezing every few minutes, and one of the others is starting to get a little sneezy as well.

I have the sick ones quarantined for now, and have been giving them chamomile tea with a little honey. Both are still alert and have good appetites.

because this is a business and I can’t spend a fortune on vet bills, as well as there not being a vet who treats rabbits within four hours away, I would really like to do all I can to treat them at home.

have any of your has experience with treating snuffles at home? Any tips? Thanks you so much!

You won't like what I have to say. I can only tell you what I would do in your situation. I would put all the affected bunnies down. You can put a lot of time and effort into treating them, but in the end, it is unlikely the ones that survive will ever do well. You have to do what feels right to you though. I am sorry.
