I have a Sebright cross cockerel which I raised myself and is almost 2 years old and he has been perfectly calm with a great temperament and is very nice to me. However, recently he has become quite aggressive, and charges at me and pecks me, despite being perfectly calm and sedate beforehand with me, and I haven't changed anything about me or his surroundings which might cause him to be unsure. Does anyone have any advice on what to do and why this has happened?

are you approaching or handling his hens when he attacks you? He may be overzealous in protecting them. Nonetheless he needs to be taken down a peg or two. There are many approaches to aggressive roosters - so it would be best if you just put that in the search box and decide which advice to take.

Hi, My chickens are around 3 1/2 months old. I got them when they were about 3 days old. It turns out 5 are hens and 2 are roosters. It is now obvious which rooster rules. He is the bigger one.His name is Roger. The underdog is named Pete. Well, Roger is mean to Pete because he wants the 5 hens for his wives. So, I have been trying to find another home for Pete. But then I was wondering if I should keep him and give away Roger. But even though Roger is mean to his brother and totally rules over the hens, perhaps that is the way it is suppose to be.I get it that "you can't tell a chick how to be a chicken"' but does anyone know which rooster I should keep?
