Can 3 day old chicks only eat chick crumb?

Is there anything else i can give them and if not how long are they on it for?

I feed mine chick starter & nothing else till their 8 weeks. Mine are hatched & go straight to the coop. The coop usually has grass in it so they eat that. I don't like messing with their diet when the starter is all they need plus it makes it simple.
