I have 11 chicks that are about 5 weeks old . During the day they hang out with the goats in the goat yard adjacent to our chicken coop and run. I have noticed that they like to nibble on the goat's sweet feed. Does anyone know if this is dangerous for them? (and conversly the goat seems to enjoy the chick starter- is that ok?)

I'm pretty sure it won't hurt them. Just make sure it's not too big a part of their diet. Nutritional balance and all that.

I agree. It's not gonna kill them. Mine used to steal the goat's food all the time..and the dog's food...and the cat's food. While it shouldn't be a large part of their diet, a couple of bites is not gonna hurt.

Thanks guys. That's the answer I was hoping for. I really like all the animals mixing together.
