Why not? People have good luck with batchlor flocks larger and smaller

It will work until it doesn't. Might be years, might be weeks. The more roosters you have, the greater the chance of it not working. IMO roosters take more space than hens. A bachelor's flock would need quite a bit of space.
Roosters are a crap shoot, no one really knows how it will go with that many boys, there just are no guarantees that 'if you do this, then they will get along.'
Always have a plan B set up and ready to go. A fishnet on a 4 foot handle can be handy in separating fighting roosters. You need a crate set up and at hand, because often inexperienced people do not pick up the cues that indicate a violent attack, and it can seem like the attack comes out of no where.
They don't call it cock fighting for nothing, and most people vastly under estimate the violence of the attack until they have seen one. Or worse, been in one.
