can a 8 week old rooster crow

hello everyone, 6 to 8 week old rooster is trying to crow

Welcome to BYC ! What breed is your rooster since some breeds tend to crow earlier than others.

I really dont know hes mixed red, a little black on his tail feathers someone said it was a bantam myself I think he is a mix breed I bought them from a feed store. I'll Post a pic on here today.

Might be a cross between a Buff Orpington and a bantam ? Not sure though.

Yep, that's what some roosters do, announce themselves early. At least I don't have to guess anymore. I've had two cream legbars crow at the three week mark (OK, it sounded like strangulated gargling. Since then I have gotten used to the sound.) along with a little Old English Game bantam who still sounds like a squeaky toy, but I know it's a crow.
