Can a chicken eat a key?

I lost a key around the size of the one in the picture. I think I lost it in the coop or run. I’ve been looking all night and most of today and still can’t find it. We used a metal detector and everything. Could it be possible for one of the hens to eat it? I don’t think so but one of my hens are just standing around lazy today other than that everything is normal.

The size of the key is like a normal house key size.

Even if they eat it, it'll eventually work it's way out. But I really doubt one would EAT it. Mostly play with it and then it would get buried by them scratching and playing.

i don't think they would be able to fit it in their mouth. Im going crazy trying to find this key, I guess my last resort is the chickens ate it LOL
