This is actually a multipart question.
But first, the background. In May of 2024 we added some chicks to our flock. One was what we thought to be a Delaware. She is the only white breed we have, named Noodle . We have 1 wyandotte (Snickers), 1 cinnamon queen (Cinnamon), and 2 golden rockets (Nugget and Patty) in addition to her.
When Noodle started laying, her eggs were white. This year, around October or so she started molting, and with that and daylight /weather changes she stopped laying eggs.
now question 1: We haven't gotten a white egg since then. Could she still be on a break?
question 2: could her egg color have changed? Between the 5 hens we were getting 4 brown and 1 white, averaging 5 eggs about every day and a half during peak egg season.
now, we get 5 eggs about every 2-3 days. Taking season into account, I don't know if Noodle is laying an egg or not, since the other girls are brown. Nugget and Patty's eggs have small brown speckles.
Finally, is Noodle a Delaware or Leghorn or something else? As her Feathers came in, she never got the dark head or tail of a Delaware. Nor after her molt. Photos attached
