Can a goose care for ducklings?

I basically just have pics of them hanging together, they don't really look small but they are only 6 weeks old.
The goose lost her sister so I'm glad she likes the ducks. I always felt she would be a good mother as she guards her eggs ferociously.

I originally bought my 2 geese as 1-day olds (I felt very lucky to have found them at a local hardware store) and they were together for 8 yrs and one day Clara, her sister, just died. I watched Abigail carefully for mourning but oddly she had bonded to my goats although I'm sure she mourned but and I was not seeing anything out of the ordinary. That was 6yrs ago and she is now 14 yrs old.
I had moved to an 8 acre plot with 1/3 acre pond to give them water but they would never go in it. So I moved after 13 yrs. :lau

She’s 14 that’s so cool my gander just turned 13 in April his Mate is 8 she doesn’t lay any longer but they still go through breeding season and all the craziness that goes with it.

Yeah I love my goose and love the ducks a lot. They are really the cutest things, just watching them waddle along is very entertaining, and they seem so innocent, although they can be little devils too. haha
