I've been seeing a lot of posts lately about hens laying one color one day and another color the next. I have read a lot of books on poultry and chicken keeping and they have always said- once she lays an egg of a certain color - that is her color for life- other than a bit lighter or darker - but never going from blue/green to brown or white and vice versa.
So... my question is- are these folks mistaken in thinking the egg is from one hen and it's actually from another - or is it possible for a brown egg laying hen to suddenly lay a blue egg?
