Hey guys, brand new here, I am getting ready to get 8-10 golden comets. I have converted a tree house to a coop and have a ramp coming down into the run but its pretty steep, its maybe 6 feet from the bottom of the tree house to the ground. anyone have any experience with this? any help would be appreciated!!! thanks

Make a 2 foot ramp down to a platform. Make another two foot ramp down from that starting on the platforms right side down to another platform. Make a ramp down starting from the 2nd platform, again starting from the right side (this ramp should be facing the treehouse) down to the ground. The hens will circle down the ramps and you won't need to go 10 feet+ out in one direction for them to reach the ground safely.

Lol like this. Sorry for the poor skills...I'm drawing on my phone here. But at least you get the idea!

I will give that a try!! Thank you!! So, you do think a steep ramp can be a problem? I will load up a picture this evening of what it looks like now

Hi codycc13 - I think a steep ramp would be a problem. They will jump off it at some point, probably higher than the should and may cut their feet and get bumble foot or sprain a leg or toe. Skylavaulter's idea is a good one.
