I have one hen that has died and one that is sick. It looks like Mareks. Im not sure how old the hen are (got them from an auction) but they were full grown when i got them, I have had them about 6 months. Now they are sick. I have 3 other chickens that are ok , so far. I thought Mareks was something only younger chickens got? Please help. I have read if its Mareks i should kill the hen to stop it from spreading. (true?)
The first hen went limp and died after 4 days. I had taken her away from the others because they picked on her.
The second one is looked weak the day the first one died, Next day she is limp and just lays in the dog crate i have her in. Looks to be breathing ok.
The other two hens and a rooster, I think they were all vaccinated before i got them (they were chicks at that time). Will they be ok???
