I'm in Hawaii and I'm sure the breeder doesn't ship here I know several people that purchase day old chicks from the hatcheries there, guaranteed to suffer losses. A friend ordered 15, only 4 survived. Reordered + replacements (30) only 12 survived. Not very good averages, just feel sad for the chicks having to endure the stress

Ah, so sad. I just ordered some hatching eggs because I was so nervous to order live chicks. A friend of mine does all the time with great success, but I was so nervous about it so I got eggs instead. They are in the incubator right now.
