They are about 10 days old now, is it possible to identify them at this early stage? Most have two light stripes running down their backs. Any help much appreciated! Last edited: Mar 1, 2013

I was wondering where you got your cute chicks from? Are there Dominique hatcheries? Are the breeds similar to mainland chickens?

Based on your feedback I looked at the photos here... https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/buff-orpingtons-chicken-breed-information-pictures and they do look like these. I will try to get another photo of legs & head/comb to confirm. The chicks came from Barbados to Dominica, but the woman at the feed shop thought they were sent from America to Barbados. We do have local chickens here on the island, but I wanted to start out with known layers for my first chicken experience.
