Hi, I have bantam chicks 6 1/2 weeks old. I was told they were a mixture of Silkie and Frizzle. Can you tell me what sex they are? I will try and list them in order of pecking. I think i have 3 cockerels and 2 hens but i would like some experienced input.
1. Sandy is a frizzle, the biggest, top of the pecking order and always initiating fights. Has the most developed comb and a bit of a wattle
.
2. Bubbles One ( my grandson named them) seems to be a silkie cross. I looked up sexing silkies and the male is supposed to have 'streamers' at the back of the head. The comb is unusual , but it has developed a pink colour. very small wattle as yet.
3. "Castle". small and such a cutie . i wanted him badly to be a hen. dappled brown and grey. But he struts so well and seems to have small man syndrome. Always fighting. Comb is looking pink and a bit of a wattle.
4. "Bubbles Two". A Frizzle.
What the??? Just black where the comb would be. I'm assuming from it's behaviour its a hen.
5. Max/Maxine almost certainly a hen. Yellow comb.
Thanks for your help in advance.
Pam.
