Can anyone tell by these photos, if they are male/female?

They're all 5 weeks old. I'm not exactly what type of chickens they are, bc I was told they were Dominiques, but someone on here said that's not what they are...

Any help would be great. Thanks!

they are not dominiques, they(Dominiques) are barred and have rose combs.

one of your chicks is barred, but they all have single combs. Maybe you have sexlinks? If they had a barred hen with just about any non-barred rooster, they would have gotten sexlinked chicks. Black females and barred males

So, the black ones are female, the barred one is male?

Right now they all look female. I don't think they're sex linked, or that little barred bird would have more comb. One looks to have a not straight comb, so my guess is they're mixed breed birds, with some barred bird as one parent of one. How's that for very non-specific?

Where did you get them? Are they from a hatchery or a private person?

Wish sexing birds were easier!

We got them from a private person, and they didn't specify what I was getting, I only paid $3 a dozen. So, not a big loss, just wish I knew what they are and what sec they are, lol

They all look female to me. When we got 7 6-8 week old chicks you could tell the cockerels...they had teeny tiny little combs that were already getting red. So to me those all look like ladybirds.
