I have 5 dark cornish.
Being fairly new to chickens, I got my first batch of Autralorps last yearr. I have had 2 red laying hens and 2 Americaunas since then. But now I have 5 cornish. They are flighty, eat like horses and are feathering out way faster than my Aussies ever did. I cant seem to find much info on JUST the cornish breed, I get lots on Cornish X.
My questions are:
Are they tamable, cuz mine just go bezzerk when Im around?
Do they feather and mature faster than most breeds (not necessarily weight wise, but feather wise)
What can I expect from hens? I wont be keeping roosters, I will be covering them with a large breed bird next spring for meat birds.
