Can anyone tell me how to get started hatching my own chicks?

i've had chickens for aroung 4 years but have always bought them as chicks. does anyone have any suggestions on getting started hatching. it would be greatly appreciated. thanks. swoape101

Do you already have an incubator?

Study how to incubate eggs by looking up the vast information available on BYC and the internet and go from there.

You need two things...

Either an incubator OR a broody hen

AND

Some fertile eggs.

There's lots of tips here if you do a search on buying/building an incubator and where to get good fertile eggs.
