I don't have any chickens at this point but am curious if standard size and bantams can coexist? Does this depend on breed? I'm only going to keep hens. My husband wants regular size eggs but I LOVE silkies and I'm not sure if there is a standard size option for them..

Thanks!

They most certainly can! I've kept my bantams and standards together for eleven years now, and I have yet to have a problem between the two.

Mine all live in a coop together and share everything.

I have one bantam a Cochin, she has had no problems living amoung the giants that make up my flock. She will even put my very large light brahma roo in his place when need be. She even just hatched out 7 chicks this past Monday and tuesday. Only one is hers from my Standard Sliver laced Wyandotte roo. Here is a few pics of her and her brood. Sorry I just had to.
