Hi, I'm still deciding what type of chicken breed to get and I heard that buff orps seem to be o e of the friendliest breeds so I was wondering wether they can l live in the UK, Scotland.

Any ideas or opinions?

Can they live there? Well, they are adaptive to a variety of climatic conditions. Whether or not they are available in Scotland, that I can not answer. They are a mellow multi purpose breed.

They're an English breed so they should do ok. They probably don't speak Gaelic though so you'll have to stick to English.

cant recommend marans enough for friendliness, but it isnt always down to the breed as to how their personality comes out, make sure to see a good breeder who is as local as possible to cut down on travel and stress.
