can button quail be on cement?

the floor of my aviary is cement rocks i was wondering if they will still nest on this and be ok?

also is it ok to keep them in pairs i have 2 males and 2 females in a 200 sq foot aviery with many other birds


they wont fight will they?

Um, hard to say ...
Buttons don't need a very big pen to be happy in.
I have mine in a small wood/wire cage. I would use wood shavings. Cement Rocks would be very hard on their feet and wouldn't make a very good nesting place either. Better to use shavings.

If you have two males together they will probably fight from what I've heard. Better to just have 1 male and 1 female in each pen. Do you have a fish tank or something? If so you could put your buttons in there instead of the other pen.

its actually not concrete its rock but its rock/stone thats stuck together i dont know how to explain it hmm here it is

I would still keep them on wood shavings.

You can get a pretty good sized bag of them for like $5.00
