I don't like confusing people with common names, so here's the species name of the plant: Tanacetum parthenium

I found some growing on the edge of my property and I was wondering if it would hurt my birds if they ate it. I know it's edible for people, but I'm not sure what it'll do to the birds if they start picking at it.

I’d say that it’d be ok to feed the birds the plant but try really small amounts first and see what that does. I don’t give my chicken weeds or plants that contain a white sap in it for some reason, I don’t know if it’s poisonous but I don’t really like to risk it.
Okay, I'll keep an eye on them, thank you. They like nibbling on the wild plants - my OEG rooster really likes oak seedlings for some reason. I can't imagine they're that tasty, but he goes nuts for oak leaves. Poor little guy is always tidbitting for his girlfriends and the silly hens completely ignore him lol

Lol, poor guy. My budgie Stormy has the same issue, his sister Tofu is in love with my older bird Link so he just has his toy to love. My chicken does whatever she wants all day when I’m not home, no idea what she eats apart from her pellets, grass and bugs she finds in the rain. But I remember I was skeptical to give her a scrap of sweet potato because I heard you shouldn’t feed your chook raw potatoes, but it ended fine because the sweet potato isn’t in the nightshade family that contains cyanide and she didn’t even like it! She has been raised into a picky eater like me, whoops

What does OEG mean ? I been trying to figure out where abbreviations are in BYC but I had zero luck locating it ! I'm new to chickens and ducks and being a mom and proud owner of my feathered friends !
Can someone please tell me where to look !
