Can chickens being chased cause them not to lay

I've got two very active 2 yr old grandsons. Can them chasing the chickens around the yard (once in awhile) cause my chickens not to lay? I can understand them not if it was an everyday thing.

It shouldn't affect things too much if it's just once in a while. If they are very flighty unsocial birds then it might cause them to get tramatized and freaked out so they don't lay for a few days.

Thanks ....they both live fairly close, but I think once the newness wears off & they get older it will get better. Plus they only are over once a week.
