can chickens eat corn meal?

know chickens can eat corn, i haven't tried it but wanted to see if they can eat corn meal because i thought it would keep them warm and make their digestion easier.can you tell me if they can or cannot.

I would cook it up into corn bread/cakes and feed it. My chickens don't seem to like anything to finely ground; with the exception of oyster shell. Picky birds.

If you make hot porridge most likely they will eat it. if you bake it or make pancake like thing. yummy yummy
