Can chickens eat pea/bean hulls?

We have a big vegetable garden with a bunch of pea and bean plants. Can our chickens have the hulls from white acre peas, butter beans, green beans, etc.?

I give them everything (by throwing it in the compost, to which the chickens have daily access), and let them decide what they want to eat. Generally, if it is harmful to them, they will not eat it. I have thrown the pea and bean vines into the compost before, with no ill effects on the chickens.
