Happy Thanksgiving Y’all!

Quick question, can chickens have cinnamon? I’m copying a chicken pumpkin pie recipe and it said to add cinnamon. However I’ve never given it to my hens. Is it okay to feed them?

When I was a kid, my grandmother tossed every kitchen scrap in the chicken run. Including the dreaded potato peel. How many got sick or died? Zero.
The thing people always miss with potato peels is that the potential issues are with GREEN potato peels, which means the potato broke through the ground and was exposed to sunlight while growing.

Now, you might go your whole life without seeing a green potato peel. But somehow people translate this to "potato peels are poisonous".

Animals in general seem to know enough not to eat foods that are bad for them. As opposed to people...

I throw all table scraps to my chickens. I'm sure if they were starving they would eat "bad stuff", but they have plenty to eat and just ignore what they don't want.
