Can Chickens Safely Eat Bees and Wasps?

please dont kill bees there having a hard enough time as it is and they are so important
i would ratherhear you killin dogs as i would bees

BEES are beneficial. wasps, on the other hand, are very invasive and aggressive. we are animals, too- and we have every right to protect our nests (homes) or our babies (our chickens). of course rehousing is always a best option, but wasps are very smart and know how to get back home. and they reproduce like crazy!

A big wasp stung my month old sapphire gem, right below her eye. The whole right side of her face swelled up and she was shaking in pain for 15 hours. Her eye was swollen shut. By the next day she could open her eye a little less than half way, but her face was still incredibly swollen. Wasps DO sting chickens and it can sometimes be deadly!! Chickens can be very allergic to wasp stings, and if young enough the poison can hit the blood stream quickly and kill them within minutes. I wrapped an ice cube in a paper towel and numbed it a bit, then put baking soda/water mixture on her face to draw the toxins out. THEN...I gave the wasp to her as a treat. she loved it! take that, mother-effer! it's great animal protein!!

If you google are wasps benificial, you will find that indeed they are. They also pollinate like bees, and additionally they prey on alot of crop distroying pests. Some farmers ship them in to assist with certain pest they are having trouble with.
I never kill a wasp in my garden or yard because i value all benifical insects.
I have never had a any trouble with them until 2 years ago mowing my yard and bumped a tall pole with the mower and immedately was stung by 3 angry wasps. They had a nest near the top if the pole under a bird feeder.
I just did not mow that side of the yard for the rest of that summer. Took the nest down after they moved on.

My chickens eat any insect but yesterday I pointed out a Yellowjacket that was walking across the patio to them and they wouldn’t even peck at it. They also don’t even try to go after the honey bees all over my lavender plants.
