We are new and have done a lot of research but some things we are just taking them as they come.
Our chicks are almost 5 week old. We had our first crow from an Australorp last night when we turned on the light to check on them. Now we are excited to get more crows. Tonight we noticed that two chicks we believe to be roos stuck their necks up in the air and opened their mouths in an exaggerated yawn, but no sounds came out. I have seen small little yawns, or what looked like them anyways. However, this was very exaggerated. Can chicks "crow" without making any sounds?
