can cockerels make good pets

I am new to this site I have just hatched 6 chicks but I think some may be cockerels I keep all of my chickens for pets do want them to be friendly can cockerels make good pets? xx

My favorite chicken ever (since deceased via Marek's) was a barred sexlink mutt rooster I picked up as a chick from a local farmer a few years back. Friendly to his hens and to people, very social - maybe even more human interactive than the hens at the time. That being said - there are a lot of roosters, especially hatchery quality, that are complete ********...

Generally, cockerels are not good pets.
