can dogs get bumble-foot from poultry?

can dogs get bumble-foot from poultry? like quails. My dog killed a quail infected by bumble-foot virus.

Pretty sure bumble foot is caused by bacteria, not virus? In that case, it definitely won't catch it from eating/biting the bird. I suppose it could possibly catch the bacteria by sharing the same enclosure or walking around in the quails poop, but even then the dog would need to have a wound or similar that provided the bacteria with a suitable envirinment.. Very low risk.
